Maybe you have loved Jesus for years and a quiet question keeps you up at night: am I really saved?
Maybe you're not sure you know Him at all, and you want someone to explain it plainly, without all the church words.

He was a criminal. He was being executed for what he had done, and he said so himself: we are punished justly.
He had no baptism. No church membership. No theology degree. No years of faithful service. No time left to clean anything up.
He had one thing.
Hanging next to Jesus, he believed that Jesus was exactly who He said He was, and he asked, "Remember me when You come into Your kingdom."
And Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in paradise."
That is what saves a person. Not the resume. Not the cleanup. Trusting Jesus for who He is and what He has done, and calling on Him.
It really is that simple.
So now, your 2 AM question.
When a woman asks me, "Am I really saved?" she is usually one of two people.
Some women realize, honestly, that they never actually trusted Jesus for themselves. They grew up around church. They know the language. But they never truly believed He was who He said He was and called on Him personally.
If that might be you, there is no shame in finally getting honest about it. The next tab is for you.
But many women asking this question really did trust Him. They meant it.
What they're actually experiencing is distance from God, and then interpreting that distance as evidence that they must not really belong to Him.
If you have trusted Christ, Scripture gives you something firmer than the emotion of the moment.
Jesus says no one can snatch His sheep out of His hand (John 10:28–29). Paul says believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit when they believe (Ephesians 1:13). John says he wrote so believers may know they have eternal life (1 John 5:13).
The thief's salvation was simple.
The challenge comes when we receive salvation by grace and then quietly begin trying to live the Christian life by performance.
Somewhere in that striving, the feeling of closeness can fade, and we can mistake that feeling for evidence that God has let go.
If you have trusted Christ, the distance you feel may be a Disconnect, not evidence that He has abandoned you.
And that Disconnect is worth exploring.
Here it is, short and simple.
God made you. He made you to know Him and walk with Him. That was always the plan.
But all of us have sinned. Every one of us. Me included.
Sin separated us from the relationship we were made for, and we cannot repair that separation by trying to become good enough.
So God did what we could not do.
He sent His Son.
Jesus lived the sinless life we could not live. He died on the cross for our sins. He was buried. And on the third day He rose from the dead.
And you do not earn any of it.
Salvation is a gift. You receive it by faith in Jesus Christ.
Remember the thief on the cross.
He could not get baptized. He could not join a church or repair everything he had damaged. He trusted Jesus.

God is listening to your heart, not grading your grammar.
